Teas on the Green
Farnley Estate WI is famous for its “Teas on the Green” which raises funds through the sale of refreshments at Leathley Parish Rooms. People come from miles around to enjoy our teas even when it rains!
Farnley Estate WI is part of the North Yorkshire West Federation of Women’s Institutes (NYWFWI) and the National Federation of Women’s Institutes.
An official web page can be found at The Women’s Institute
The WI plays a unique role in providing women with opportunities, the chance to build new skills, take part in a variety of activities and to campaign on issues which matter to them and their communities.
Anyone interested in joining is always welcome to come along and try out one of our meetings. For more information contact Susan Kerridge Tel: or:
Membership benefits include eight issues a year of WI Life magazine and the NYWFWI newsletter. Members can book for numerous NYWFWI events. They can also take advantage of the wide range of courses offered by Denman College, the WI’s own residential adult education college near Oxford.
